Big River Animal Society is dedicated and committed to building a safe haven for animals based on the model of Best Friends Animal Society. Whether an animal is in need of temporary refuge, rehabilitation and healing until it’s ready for a new home or if they’re perceived as unadoptable due to age or disability, we want to provide a loving, peaceful environment for all.

We are currently seeking a minimum of 100 acres in northwest Mississippi or southwest Tennessee either by donation or to purchase for our permanent sanctuary. Big River Sanctuary for Animals needs a place to call home forever where we can expand our scope of rescue and services to our community.
